WANTED
Sydelle Pulaski
Wanted for: Murdering Samuel Westing
Description: Sydelle Pulaski has blue eyes and wide hips. At the age of 50, Sydelle Pulaski works as a secretary. She has one crutch and always limps.
Quote: "No one ever notices Sydelle Pulaski. But now they will. Now they will."
Personality Traits: Sydelle Pulaski is a quiet person who lives in Sunset Towers. She wants attention because no one notices her.
Evidence: Since Sydelle Pulaski has a crutch, nobody would suspect her. Chris also saw someone limping into the Westing house in the night of the murder.
Reasons for Guilt: According to my research in the Westing Game so far, I believe that Sydelle Pulaski is guilty. Much evidence has been found, but the three main reasons are that she wants attention, that she has a limp, and her use of crutches. First of all, Sydelle is in desperate need of attention. The book explains how all Sydelle’s life she was not very noticed. She had thought that if she lived in the Sunset Towers with the “rich people” she could be noticed and have attention. Near the start of the book, Sydelle mutters to herself, “No one ever notices Sydelle Pulaski. But now they will. Now they will.” Secondly, Sydelle is known to limp. Chris explained that he had seen someone limping into the Westing House in the night of the murder, could this be Sydelle? Lastly, since Sydelle uses a crutch, she thinks that no one would suspect her of murder. At one point in the story, Sydelle lifts her crutch out of the way and runs, which shows that she does not need a crutch to move around. All this evidence proves that Sydelle Pulaski killed Samuel Westing.
